my sister is the beneficiary of my uncles policy

and im very happy for her! she has a lot of health issues but this will help her a lot. she wants to split it with me, too (because of a much longer story but in short our inheritances from our father and grandmother got stolen from us)

she'll be able to get a comfortable chair for her back (broken in high school) and better shoes for it too.

she sent the paperwork in and they just emailed her the other day saying they got it. im eager to know how much it is, but im obviously more excited for the relief this will bring her. do they typically take a while to send checks? i googled it and it said anywhere from two weeks to two months which is scary, but is that just a broad scope?

im assuming its obviously also specific from case to case. we're in ny and i think she said theyre in virginia? shes very busy i dont often hear from her

(if i dont reply the medication for my ibs flareup allowed me to sleep but i'll acknowledge anything i miss in the morning!)
