Angelo Carmen Marciano, 80, went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2022, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House (Care Dimensions) in Danvers after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Carol (Thibodeau) Marciano. He was born in Beverly to the late Angelo “Dutchy” and Angela (Casali) Marciano.

Angelo Carmen Marciano

Carmen was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in Beverly, St. Mary’s of Lynn High School, and Northeastern University.

Carmen was a born hard worker and followed in his father’s footsteps by always working and creating new business opportunities, starting way back working at his father’s miniature golf course on Elliott St. where he would meet his future wife, Carol. Carmen spent his 50-year career in the insurance industry where he was loved and respected by all. As the President and Owner of Appleby & Wyman Insurance Agency for over 30 years, he grew the agency from one small office to a large presence on the North Shore with his daughters Christine and Lisa. He retired from the agency in 2018 due to illness but continued working on the Salem Five Bank Board of Directors which he truly enjoyed until he turned 80.

Carmen enjoyed traveling worldwide with his wife and together they made many special memories. Carmen was a pillar of strength for his family and loved spending his time at large family gatherings and attending every sporting event, activity, and graduation of his four children and ten grandchildren that he could. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed a good cigar, glass of wine, and a nice Veal Saltimboca. He was committed to donating to places and causes he believed in and was always helping others, leading his family and grandkids by example to help make the world a better place.
