Integral ILS Ltd., the insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment fund manager run by well-known industry executives Richard Lowther and Lixin Zeng, has hired a new investment analysis-focused staff member, bringing on Gowtham Uthayakumar as Client Relations Associate.

Uthayakumar joined Integral ILS in August and reports to Emily Birrell, Head of Business Development and Client Relations at the ILS fund manager.

He has almost eight years experience in investment analysis and investor focused roles and is based in London for the firm.

Most recently, Uthayakumar worked at GAM Investments as a Discretionary Investment Analyst, having spent five and a half years at the asset manager.

Before that, Uthayakumar worked at another large asset manager, Fidelity International, in analysis and servicing roles for around two and a half years.

He has a history of working in a range of front and middle office roles within the investment management industry.

On the new hire, the ILS fund manager said, “Integral welcomes Gowtham and looks forward to his contribution as we continue to invest in providing our clients with comprehensive and transparent portfolio reporting.”

Earlier this year, Integral ILS announced an increase in investor commitments to just over $1.4 billion and capital deployed to $1.1 billion, as it received new commitments from two cornerstone investors, Canadian pension giant the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments) and alternatives allocator New Holland Capital.
