Revealed – excellence awardees for Insurance Business Canada Awards 2022

Insurance Business has finalised the list of this year’s Insurance Business Canada Awards (IBCA) excellence awardees, composed of outstanding brokers, brokerages, insurers, underwriters, MGAs, and risk managers.

Now in its seventh year, the annual IBCA is the leading independent awards program in the insurance profession across the country. It recognises and celebrates insurance companies and professionals for their achievements, leadership, and innovation for the past 12 months.

So, how did Insurance Business Canada (IBC) identify this year’s excellence awardees? From May 16 to July 15, 2022, IBC called for nominations providing the nominee’s contact details and a brief reason why they should be considered within a 300-word limit. The IBCA team then conducted research and drew on knowledge and information gained through IBC to support and supplement the nominations received and ensure no-one was missed.

Once the IBCA team considered all nominations and completed its research, it selected excellence awardees in each category (except the Lifetime Achievement category). The excellence awardees have been invited to complete a detailed submission to address the category criteria in more detail – and, finally, an independent judging panel comprising industry leaders and senior representatives will assess and vote for winners in each category according to the relevant category criteria.
