The 2022 Lexus RC350 is unchanged from last year.
The RC’s extroverted, Japanese anime styling packs a visual wallop.
The F Sport package brings dark gray trim, a unique grille design, and 19-inch wheels. Our test car added an optional rear spoiler.
The RC350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 311 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.
That engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic in rear-wheel-drive models and a six-speed automatic in all-wheel-drive versions like our test car.
In our testing, the RC350 F Sport AWD reached 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, which puts it well behind competitor coupes such as the Audi S5 and BMW M440i.
The RC350 F Sport AWD’s EPA estimates of 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway are not particularly impressive.
The RC350’s interior is cosseting and comfortable, and the F Sport’s specific front bucket seats earned particular praise.
The optional 10.3-inch center display in our test car is operated by a remote touchpad, which is more awkward than a touchscreen.
The RC350 F Sport AWD’s starting price of $52,555 is several thousand dollars less than its six-cylinder, all-wheel-drive rivals from Germany.
