NIBA invites brokers to share community assistance stories

1 September 2022

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is running a competition encouraging brokers to share stories of how they have helped clients in their community.

The contest, sponsored by Liberty Specialty Markets, recognises the impact brokers have had in helping their clients and their contribution to “community excellence”.

Liberty Head of Claims Asia Pacific Robert Mercer says it’s essential to recognise the “outstanding efforts that brokers have made to truly make a difference”.

“During these catastrophes, we’ve worked hard as an insurer to be accessible, act decisively and make rapid claims payments,” Mr Mercer said.

“In doing this, we’ve witnessed several of our broking partners play critical roles in helping our mutual clients be safe and recover. This deserves recognition.”

The prize winner will receive an all-inclusive ticket to the 2022 NIBA Summit and Celebration Dinner, plus return flights and one night’s accommodation.

Applicants are asked to submit a 200-600 word written summary or record a video up to a minute long in response to criteria questions. Submissions close on September 23.

NIBA says the winner will be announced on September 28.
