EPIC announces three key hires

Connor (pictured above left) will be based in the Philadelphia area. She has more than 20 years of experience in the voluntary benefits space. Connor most recently worked at Genomic Life, where she partnered with consultants, enrollment firms, benefits administration providers and employers on the development and delivery of genomic benefit programs. She formerly owned an enrollment firm, which was sold after 15 years to a top-100 bank. Connor has also served as a national director of sales at two leading cybersecurity companies.

“Kerry brings a great balance of direct sales experience as well as working collaboratively with the brokerage community,” said Craig Hasday, president of EPIC’s national employee benefits practice. “I have no doubt that her leadership will bring incredible value to our clients either directly or through their current EPIC advisors. Workforce changes have made customization of family benefits on an individual basis an essential service.”

Novotney (pictured above center) joins EPIC’s growing private client practice, where he will be responsible for relationship development and utilizing EPIC Private Client’s platform of solutions including custom homes, high-value collector automobiles, fine art collections, mega-yacht, aviation, personal protection, and cyber coverage. He will report to Steve Nelson, chief growth officer for EPIC. Novotney has more than 15 years of private client-focused insurance experience.

Guilian (pictured above right) joins the firm’s Greyling division. In his new role as senior vice president of risk management, he will be responsible for risk avoidance and management consulting, developing legal and legislative initiatives that are critical to large design firms, and client service. He will report to Gregg Bundschuh, managing principal of Greyling.

Guilian joins the company from a civil engineering firm, where he served as general counsel. Prior to going in-house, he served as an active litigator, trying dozens of insurance defense jury trials and litigating hundreds of lawsuits to favorable pre-trial resolutions. He has extensive expertise in matters affecting risk and legal exposure for engineers, their firms, and other design professionals.

“We are excited for Roger to join Greyling,” Bundschuh said. “His experience as a trusted advisor to a large, sophisticated design firm and engineering professionals will deliver immediate and direct value to our clients. His commitment to client service and professional counsel aligns perfectly with our historic practices.”
