Howden ranks first on workplace culture list

18 August 2022

Howden has been named to have the best small business working culture in Australia by workplace researcher Great Places to Work.

The broker topped the “Australia’s Best Workplaces 2022” list measuring employee satisfaction and trust within their workplace. The researcher evaluates employee survey data regarding their relationships with management, colleagues, and job.

Howden employees reported a 95% satisfaction rate for their workplace, vastly outperforming the Australian average of 56%.

Howden Pacific CEO Matt Bacon says building a welcoming culture has been a critical goal for the broker and the company is proud to have “taken some huge strides” since establishing its presence in the region last year.

“When establishing Howden in the Pacific we always set out to create a broking environment that was a great place to work and this win is the realisation of that,” Mr Bacon said.

“There was ownership pretty much from day one and our culture has been designed by our people for our people and it is affirmation of what they have built – a great place to work.”
