Pregnant no insurance

No insurance

My husband(30M) and I(28F) live in Tennessee. We got married last year and for reasons I’d rather not get into, my husband didn’t add me to his health insurance.

Just over a week ago I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. As of yesterday I’m six weeks pregnant.

I know I need to get to the doctor, but as of now we’re struggling to figure out how to pay for it. I applied for Tenncare(Medicaid), but my husband makes about 2k less than the income limit and with my job we’re going to go over that limit pretty quickly.

I also tried to get into the healthcare marketplace but it looks like they’re closed for open enrollment.

Our plan is to go to the county health department on Friday to see what they suggest. In November my husband can put me on his insurance, but by then I’ll be about 5 months in and would have no prenatal care other than the vitamins I started the moment we found out.

I just need to know that we’ve exhausted every option we have right now, and if it’s possible to get help in some other way? We have no idea what we’re doing.
