Farewell Party For Mr. Benn As He Leaves The Insurance Emporium And Sets Off On An Exciting New Adventure

Friends and colleagues from The Insurance Emporium came together last week to say Bon Voyage to their loveable figurehead, Mr. Benn, as he swaps his famous bowler hat and suit for a set of clubs and some checked trousers before jetting off to sunny Portugal on a golfing adventure.

The event took place at The Insurance Emporium offices, nestled in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, and was an excellent opportunity for staff to celebrate in person, after months of remote working has kept them apart.

The party theme was ‘Holidays,’ so it was Hawaiian shirts, flip flops, and flower garlands all round. Staff caught up over the buffet table before making the most of the photo opportunities in the photo booth, with a range of holiday-themed props, including inflatable flamingos and beach balls.

Since joining The Insurance Emporium in 2017, Mr. Benn has been rushed off his feet but has managed to fit in a safari, a UK tour, a trip to Uganda to meet some Silverback gorillas and an appearance at Crufts with his trusty friend, Eddie the Dog. He’s overseen numerous ad campaigns and even helped carry home the occasional award. It’s definitely time for the beloved David McKee character to take a well-earned break.

Francis Martin, Chief Executive Officer said: “I, like many of my colleagues, are feeling quite nostalgic about Mr. Benn’s departure; I remember watching him on his adventures as a child and was excited about him joining The Insurance Emporium, but I’m also pleased that we’re able to let him go and continue those adventures. Our business and brand are evolving and we’re looking forward to developing a new identity to demonstrate that evolution.”

Congratulations to one of our lucky social media followers who entered the Facebook competition to choose Mr. Benn’s next adventure, bagging themself a £350 holiday gift card to put towards flights and hotel packages in the process.

The Insurance Emporium will continue Mr. Benn’s excellent work, with the help of Eddie the Dog.
