Varney expands into New York property market


Varney Insurance, an agency covering commercial and private clients, has announced the expansion of its US business into the New York property market with the opening of its real estate head office in Manhattan. The company has also announced the appointment of Patrick Yannotta as senior vice president in commercial real estate.

Varney is a family-owned real estate insurance firm that offers business and personal insurance in North America. The company offers personalized insurance coverage by designing a tailored program for each client, including an in-depth analysis of lender requirements, a contractual review to offload liability and cover contractor failures, and risk transfer alternatives.

Yannotta has a decade of experience in New York commercial real estate and development site sales. During his career, Yannotta has helped close more than 400 commercial real estate transactions with an aggregate value of more than $12.5 billion. He joins Jack Cowie IV, Varney’s senior vice president, and the Varney team in the New York office. Cowie has more than 10 years of experience in commercial real estate risk, and in the last two years has placed more than $2 billion of risk for commercial real estate clients.
