RSA promotes industry veteran to key global role

She will start her new role on July 01 and report to RSA sales & distribution director Alex Hardy.

Campbell, who is currently senior strategic account director for the team, has more than 20 years of industry experience, having started her insurance career at HSBC Insurance Brokers. When she first joined RSA in 2017 from Aviva, Campbell initially served as customer director within RSA’s Global Risk Solutions business (which is now part of RSA Commercial Lines). In 2019, she was named senior strategic account director.

“I am delighted to be appointed in my new role and aiming to improve what we do as a team, but also capitalising on the great foundations we already have in place,” commented Campbell on her appointment. “Being asked to lead such a talented and hardworking team is a great opportunity and I am really looking forward to playing my part in our pursuit of growth.”

Hardy also commented on her appointment and said: “It speaks to the capability of the team that we are able to make a senior appointment from within our existing team.  Grace has been an integral part of our leadership team for a number of years,  her determination to succeed and passion for keeping our commitments to customers and brokers is clear to all who know her.

“I’m delighted for Grace and the team as we look to maintain our focus on [the] customer as we realise our significant ambition to grow, now and into the future.”

Last month, RSA announced the restructure of its UK senior leadership team. Subject to regulatory approval, chief claims officer Karl Helgesen will become chief operating officer, as RSA combines customer operations and claims into a new single function. Meanwhile, Louisa Leonard, who currently serves as COO, will succeed Kay Martin as personal lines managing director.
