Tower names manager for Pacific partnerships development

Tower has appointed Marcus Gibson as manager, Pacific partnerships development.

Gibson, who hails from Fiji, joined from ASCO Motors. He was most recently regional manager, East, with the company’s largest dealership in Fiji under his portfolio. During his time with ASCO Motors, Gibson held various roles across the Toyota, Yamaha and Massey Ferguson franchises, including in operations, sales and relationship account management. He also managed the lubricant portfolio for Total Fiji Ltd and oversaw Fiji sales and operations at Aggreko Rentals.

“Marcus’ experience in relationship management, sales and operations are complimented by a very strong network base he has built in Fiji and across the Pacific,” said Tower head of pacific retail distribution Joanne Rasmussen. “Marcus will be invaluable in making insurance even simpler and easier for our Pacific customers. We know he will be a real asset to the Tower team and will greatly help drive positive customer and insurance outcomes throughout the Pacific region.”

Gibson’s appointment follows the launch of My Tower Fiji – the insurer’s first fully self-service online insurance portal in the Pacific region.

Tower said the launch of My Tower in Fiji has had a positive impact on insurance inclusivity in the Pacific. This allowed customers to manage their insurance needs online, without having to physically visit a Tower branch. Tower plans to launch My Tower in Vanuatu this month and in the other Pacific Island nations it operates in by October.
