RACQ forms team to boost resilience advocacy

30 May 2022

RACQ has formed a new Advocacy department as it seeks a stronger voice on issues including resilience and sustainability.

Member and Community General Executive MJ Bellotti says the Advocacy team brings together the resources of insurance business resilience, public policy, government relations, foundation, community sponsorship, education and sustainability.

“It will be responsible for developing and executing focused campaigns which bring a stronger voice to the issues that matter to Queenslanders, including our almost 1.8 million members, while also driving RACQ’s journey to net zero,” she told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“This is an exciting chapter and I can’t wait to see RACQ’s Advocacy team get to work on tackling some of the organisation’s key strategic priorities.”

The department is headed by Joshua Cooney, previously Head of Insurance Business Resilience. A new Head of Sustainability and Head of Government Relations and Policy will also join the team.
