Broking leader Aimee Williams awarded for "providing the very best" for clients

During the past year, the insurance industry had taken hits left and right due to the COVID-19 pandemic, business interruption (BI) insurance class actions, industry reforms, and severe weather events. Against this background of challenges, some insurance professionals stood out for their commitment to building a sustainable and relevant future for the industry, earning a place on the Insurance Business Australia Hot List 2022.

Among this year’s 50 Hot Listers in Australia is Aimee Williams, commercial broking manager at Austbrokers Coast to Coast, who was convinced that insurance was her calling during the early years of her career. As a result, she studied for relevant qualifications and quickly rose through the ranks of broking assistant, broker, and acting broking manager at Austbrokers Coast to Coast. In 2018, she was promoted to her current position of commercial broking manager, leading a team of six highly skilled brokers.

But what made Williams stand out among insurance leaders in Australia is her dedication to her clients and the insurance industry in general, “providing the very best” for her clients by understanding their business operations and risks and sharing her knowledge with others. Her leadership skills have also helped the company to earn Australian Insurance Business Awards as Brokerage of the Year for the last five years in a row.

Williams’ skills have also been recognised across the insurance industry over the years. In 2018, she was highly commended in the Insurance Business Awards Young Gun of the Year (independent) category and a finalist for the same award in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Also in 2021, she was recognized as one of Insurance Business’s Elite Women in Insurance.
